regular HeliCoil screw thread inserts. When HeliCoil Oversize Inserts are installed, the original
internal nominal thread size is re-established for accepting the original size bolt.

HeliCoil Oversize Inserts - When to Use
HeliCoil Oversize Inserts are recommended for correcting tapping errors that cause HeliCoil
assemblies to gauge oversize. Conditions of slight taper or bell-mouth in screw thread insert
tapped holes are easily corrected. However, when the oversize condition of the hole is beyond
the corrective range of HeliCoil Oversize Inserts, HeliCoil Twinserts should be used.

Each HeliCoil Oversize Kit comes with a special Emhart Technologies HeliCoil Oversize Bottoming
Tap and a quantity of HeliCoil Oversize Inserts. HeliCoil Oversize Inserts are available in standard
free running and screw lock forms.

About HeliCoil Twinserts
HeliCoil Twinserts from Emhart Technologies restore damaged holes to the original thread size. As
the name implies, a HeliCoil Twinsert consists of two HeliCoil inserts - a HeliCoil Twinsert Outer Insert,
and an Inner Insert. The Outer HeliCoil Twinsert Insert is always free running while the Inner HeliCoil
Twinsert Insert can be either free running or screw-locking.
HeliCoil Twinserts are available in numerous nominal thread sizes.
HeliCoil Twinsert Kit Contents
Each HeliCoil Twinsert Kit comes with a HeliCoil Twinsert Bottoming Tap, a Twinsert Outer Insert
installation tool, a quantity of HeliCoil Twinsert Outer Inserts, and a tang break off tool for the Outer
Insert.
HeliCoil Twinserts - When to Use
HeliCoil Twinserts are used for salvaging incorrectly tapped holes and holes that are stripped,
off-centre, or damaged. They should be used when the oversize condition of the hole is beyond the
corrective range of HeliCoil Oversize Inserts.
